Suitable for use as a dual coat system for protecting and embellishing metal objects that are regularly exposed to
high temperatures (420°C) such as fitted hearths, stoves, barbecue stands, car exhausts, sauna’s etc.

Surface preparation | Sanding or shot-blasting to SA 2 ½ – SA 3. Prior to over-painting all zinc salts must be accurately removed by rinsing with fresh soft water. Damages should be repaired using the paint, determined as the first layer of the prescribed system. Zinc silicate paints should be over-painted as quickly as possible, to avoid formation of zinc salts. |
Application | Preferably by airless spray gun, dilute with C5000 to obtain the required spray viscosity. |
Application conditions | +5°C and surface temperature at 3°C above dew point. A relative humidity of >50% are required to obtain adequate cure. |

Recommended drying conditions | Air drying system. Optimum properties (fully cured, chemical resistance to oil, diesel and gasoline) apply after drying at room temperature for 24 hours. |
